We all are curious about our mental health. Indeed, we should be. It is commendable to be inquiring regarding your health. Often, we ignore our health for other life concerns, but sometimes, it costs a lot later. Recent studies show that about 27.6% of people have been affected by mental illness. The mortality rate due to depression has become 20 times of suicidal cases. We need to build control over it by spreading awareness.


In this article, I am exposing the qualities of a mentally healthy person. Before that, let's discuss what is actually meant by mental health.


What is mental health?


Mental health refers to not only emotions and feelings but includes thoughts, behavior, and psychological aspects. Mental health also influences the physical health of man. It involves a state of well-being that defines our ability to deal with stress and anxiety. 


 If you are not healthy mentally, I feel sorry for you. But it remains the fact that your life is going to be harsher than others. You would have to confront a lot of physical and emotional anxieties, along with other life challenges. Your mental health influences the whole of your life. Well, you must watch out for the health of your mind.


 Many aspects may help you to measure the health and strength of your mind. The National Mental Health Association coincides with the following main qualities of mentally healthy people. Examine yourself and find out whether you are mentally healthy or not.


1. Mentally healthy person has positivity in his mind in every concern.



Positivity is something that induces an optimistic view of life. It is the solution to many problems. It helps you to reduce stress and makes you emotionally and physically healthy as well as strong.


Having positivity in mind is meant to concentrate on the bright spots instead of considering the darkening aspects. Keep yourself enthusiastic and motivated.


2. They accept what they are and try to improve themselves day by day.


Other's perspective about you is not decisive as your own about yourself. No one will consider you until you accept yourself. 


Firstly, you should be worthful to yourself. You are unique in your way. No one is born perfect. However, the real challenge is to make your today better than yesterday. Judge yourself before someone else judges you. Accept your weaknesses and try to fix them in a better way. It is the fundamental quality of mental peace.

11. Mentally healthy people are more creative.


A person can have creative ideas only when he finds his mind to be free of stress. A mentally strong person is more creative. He doesn't lose his senses when he is in trouble. He finds out the more creative ways to get out of it.

The most efficient quality of a peaceful mind is to breathe in the present moment. You have survived your past that would never come back. We know nothing about the future. Hence, it is useless to worry about the things that are not in your hands. 

The only merit of the past is that it has given us a lot of life experiences. However, we can get the benefit of it. We can plan for a better future. But what's all we can do is by doing it in the present. Enjoy your present with a healthy mind and a glowing face.
